Paper registration requires the entrant to download the form and print it or pick up a copy from your facility, fill it out, write a check, and then either pay postage to mail it back or deliver it in person. By contrast, online registration is a fast and seamless experience for your customer while on your website. An online registrant can quickly fill out a simple, custom tailored form and submit it to your organization's management database within minutes.

2. Automatic and immediate confirmation. Turn-a-round time for paper registration notification can take days. Effective online registration software will automatically send a follow-up email to the participant notifying them that registration has been received and space reserved in the class. Instant confirmation gives your customers peace of mind and allows them to adequately plan for attendance on the days and times of their confirmed enrollment.

3. Increased Staff productivity and efficiency. The amount of time that staff spends on entering customer data is practically eliminated, allowing them to focus on more important responsibilities. Filing papers (and looking for lost forms) is also eliminated. Using discount offer sites - the most recognized of which is probably Groupon - has become very popular as a means of attracting new customers to your business. The goals and the successes vary. Keep these thoughts in mind when considering the use of online discounts sites:

1. Think through your entire process before you ever get on the phone.
2. Make sure you take into consideration what the impact to your staff will be if you choose to take enrollment over the phone instead of tying it into online registration.
3. In your Jackrabbit online Registration form, use the custom User Defined fields to capture the certificate numbers (example shown in link below).
4. In addition to an expiration date, make sure that your offer includes a "use by" date.
5. Add a "one coupon per child" notation to your offer.
6. Think through how the offer enrollees will impact the classes that they are in.
7. Track everything because the source may not capture all of the information that you want or need.
8. Remember that the source gets a 50% cut of the proceeds and they pay you what you earn from the offer. Make sure you understand HOW the source site will pay you.
9. Consider how your current customers will react if they find out that a new customer is paying less than half of what they paid for the same class.

Electronic Signatures Act of 2000

Jackrabbit's Online Registration Form requires a Full Name to be entered by the person agreeing to your Legal Policies (legalese). If you require Portal users to agree to the Legalese when enrolling in classes, a Full Name is required there also. Our software abides by the Electronic Signatures Act signed in 2000 which considers online submissions binding. Read more about the ESIGN Act in Wikipedia. We recommend that you confirm procedures with your insurance agent and attorney. The email notification with time and date stamp falls under the criteria of this Electronic Signatures Act and allows you to consider Online Registrations binding. You also have the ability to view and store the time and date stamp with full signature for each registration.
